What it is and when to use it
The EuroTec ETUF-9040R is a 40 m² outside-in PVDF hollow-fibre UF module, 1,600 mm long and Ø344 mm, with 0.025 µm pores and 6-log bacteria removal. Choose it for smaller plants or where headroom is limited, since it uses the same membrane as the 9060R in a shorter module.
According to the EuroTec brochure, the 9040R shares its 344 mm diameter, 1.5″ FNPT feed, concentrate and filtrate connections and 2.5 bar maximum feed pressure with the 9060R, but is 740 mm shorter (1,600 mm vs 2,340 mm) and carries 40 m² instead of 60 m² of membrane.
That makes it a good fit for low-flow skids, containerised units and plant rooms with restricted height. It can also be used where a plant needs finer capacity steps than 60 m² modules allow. The membrane is EuroTec's NSF-certified high anti-fouling PVDF with a narrow pore-size distribution, operated outside-in so it can be cleaned by backwash and air scouring.
