What it is and when to use it
The NWPL TMF is a multi-bag filter housing that holds 3 to 24 filter bags in one vessel. Use it when flow is too high for a single-bag housing, when you want longer run times between changes, or when you need industrial-scale bag filtration with a single set of connections.
Multiple bags run in parallel inside one pressure vessel, so total filter area scales with bag count. More area means lower flow per bag, which reduces pressure drop, extends change-out intervals and allows finer micron ratings at high flow.
The TMF uses an unscrewing design with a bolted seal for easy operation and maintenance. For processes that cannot stop, two housings can be installed in a duplex arrangement with changeover valves, so one unit stays online while bags are changed in the other. The housing accepts the full NWPL bag range, from PP and PE felt to membrane and high-temperature grades.

The TMF multi-bag housing is available for 3 to 24 filter bags. The right number depends on design flow, solids loading and target change-out interval. When is a multi-bag housing better than several single-bag housings?
A multi-bag housing puts all the filter area in one vessel with one inlet, one outlet and one set of instruments, so it needs less piping, fewer valves and less floor space than an equivalent bank of single housings. It is usually the simpler option once flow exceeds what one or two single-bag units can handle.
Can I change bags in a TMF housing without stopping the process?
Not in a single housing, since it must be isolated and depressurised to open it. For continuous processes, a duplex arrangement is common: two housings with changeover valves, where one runs while the other is serviced. We can design that arrangement around the TMF.
